This is where I ramble on about some lofty and important mission statment of this site. Well, sorry to disappoint you.

The name.

Chosen for several reasons. Take your pick.

  1. I tend to fade in and out of different hobbies over time.
  2. The small towns I photograph fade in and out of existence over time.
  3. Perhaps I fade in and out of consciousness.
  4. It was available.

Why didn't you use Wordpress or Blogger rather than html by hand?

  1. Any idiot can use Wordpress or Blogger, and most do.
  2. Have you tried scaling wordpress? It's not fun. This site is much faster as a static site. Static sites laugh at traffic spikes that will run a well scaled Wordpress site into the ground. And I don't have to worry about getting hacked because a plugin or theme or the core has a vulnerability.
  3. I like sites that load fast.
  4. I wanted to be able to organize things differently.

Why don't you have all the social media buttons so I can like you and share your site?

  1. Because social media is a drain on humanity
  2. Liking isn't helping.
  3. And so on

But isn't it a little ironic you have a site you would like people to see but don't want them to be able to share it?

No, this is irony.

A Disturbing irony
